Hadrian's Wall Trip

The next big club challenge.

This year more than 20 members of the club took part in the Three Peaks Challenge (Tony's excellent report can be read here).

For 2017, the club has a new challenge... Hadrian's Wall.

Where... Wallsend to Bowness-on Solway.

When... Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30th July 2017.

Cost... Approximately £200 per person, based on two sharing.

What's involved? The Hadrian's Wall walk is 84 miles, spread across three days (30 miles, 30 miles and 24 miles) and taking in some of the most scenic countryside you are ever likely to see. For those who don't fancy the full distance, there will be the option to complete 15 miles each day, and then take a mini bus to the next accommodation stop. Everyone will walk the last 10 miles together.

What do you need to do... The challenge is open to any member of the club, and is being organised by Roly Cook. If you are interested, please contact him directly at roly.cook37@gmail.com, or on the club's Facebook Page. When there is a concrete amount of interested people, the club will then look for a £50 non-refundable deposit.

Organising and undertaking the Hadrian's Wall trip is a serious commitment, and only people who are genuinely interested in undertaking the challenge should apply.

We can't promise it won't hurt, but we can guarantee that you will have some fun on the way!
