Wroxham 5k 2017 - Race 2 Results

Results from the second Wroxham 5k Race

Congratulations to all 605 runners who took part in last night's second Wroxham 5k Series race. For the first race of the series we had a record 595 finishers, and wondered if we could beat it. We just about managed to beat that amount, which is fantastic! It was great to see so many happy (if slightly painful looking) faces cross the finish line, with people achieving personal bests and having a great race. The weather was warm, around 20 degrees Celsius, with clear blue skies and a very light breeze powering runners on.

Piers Arnold, of City of Norwich AC, was the race winner and first male across the line, in a brilliant gun time 15:40.

Iona Lake, of City of Norwich AC, was the first female across the line, with an absolutely astounding time of 16:40 gun time. According to Power of 10, this ranks her joint 10th in the entire country for the year so far for 5km distance. Truly incredible running.
