SEAA Cross Country Championships

A masked runner at Parliament! ( Hills that is) 


Under the watchful eye of Rachel Miller a team of Norwich Road Runner set off on the  26th January 2019 to London to take part in the South of England Athletic Association's Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hills. The teams were supported by a good number of travelling supporters.

 In the under 13 Boys Joe Clarke represented us  coming home in a time of 00:17:05 while Archie Manton ( Gun time (00:20:04) and Luke Cornish (00:21:26) teamed up in the Under 15 Boys.


Our team in the  15 Km Senior Mens race finished in the following order: Martin Horlock ( Gun time 01:00:22), David Houghton (01:04:12), Paul Sullivan (01:05:09), Trevor Kuhrt (01:14:29), Ally Hadden (01:14:38) and Brett Cornish (01:22:35).

 Rachael Miller ( Gun Time 00:37:44), was the first Norwich Road Runner home in the 8k Senior Women's race in a time of 00:37:44 followed by Deborah English (00:37:58), Nicky Dowson (00:41:35), Jo Bygrave (00:50:58), Kelly Cornish ( 00:50:58), Melissa Baines (00:57: 22) and Stephanie Wenn (01:01:05).

The course sounded tough although conditions were good and according to the runners who have run the course before it was 'better than last year! Well whatever the truth feel done all.
